Flåklypa er et sted i Bøverdalen i Lom kommune i Oppland. Navnet Flåklypa ble brukt av Kjell Aukrust i hans Flåklypa Tidende og animasjonsfilmen Flåklypa Grand Prix. Navnet Flåklypa kommer av at Bøverdalen sør for gården Flå smalner inn til et elvegjel med store steiner der bøndene i eldre tid risikerte å bli sittende fast når de trakk høylasset sitt på isen – de ble sittende fast i «klypa». Kjell Aukrust var fra Alvdal i Hedmark, men hadde røtter i Lom, og eide også en kvadratmeter av riksveien i Flåklypa. Veien gjennom dalen, fylkesvei 55, er i dag nasjonal turistvei.

Flåklypa is a place in Bøverdalen in Lom municipality in Oppland. The name Flåklypa was used by Kjell Aukrust in his newspaper Flåklypa Tidende and animation movie Flåklypa Grand Prix. The name Flåklypa has its origin from Bøverdalen south of the farm Flå where the valley narrows in to only a river passage with large rocks where farmers in the old times risked getting stuck when they pulled their hay on the ice - they were stuck in "klypa" or "the pinch". Kjell Aukrust was from Alvdal Hedmark, but had roots in Lom, and also owned one square meters of the road in Flåklypa. The road through the valley, county road 55, is currently national tourist route.
