Where: The Severn Stars public house. Stars Lane, Dinton, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. HP17 8UL. 01296 749000. There's good wheelchair access (and dedicated parking) plus parking for 18 more cars. Extra parking on the road to the west of the pub.
When: 2pm (Food served til 3pm. Quiz starts at 4pm) til 6pm, Sunday 22nd September 2013.
What: A pub gathering for cachers to talk caching, swap travel items, question each other over puzzle solutions and, as a free bonus, a pub quiz - with a Pointless twist! We have exclusive use of the restaurant area after 4pm.
Why: Because I like holding pub quizes and thought I should be more ambitious. It seems I bit off a bit more than I could chew with this though. Each email of my '100 sample people' takes about 20-30 minutes to collate.... It's been a busy couple of weeks.
Who: Pointless Geocachers! And those who want to watch them. New to caching or cache events? You'll be made especially welcome. Sorry, no dogs (apart from Registered Assistance Dogs) in the restaurant room, but they're very welcome in the garden. Kid-friendly pub though, which is the next best thing to having a dog, right? ;)
PLEASE: When you're logging your Will Attend, let me know if you'd like to take part in the quiz or just want to applaud as others answer general knowledge and caching-related questions. I need teams of two people please, so ask the smarter of your caching buddies to join you here for this afternoon of caching, quizing goodness!
Also: There's a fine multi in the area which is rarely found (12 locations to visit) but gets 100% FP's from Premium finders. It's also a beautiful little village to explore on a sunny Indian Summer's Sunday afternoon!
