A 4ª cache das "coisas da minha terra" é provavelmente dos sítios mais bonitos que conhecemos em Portugal!
Estas quedas de água estiveram "escondidas" durante dezenas de anos. Estavam rodeadas de mato e em propriedade privada e nunca tinham sido vistas como atualmente. Este sítio é ainda virgem e, como tal, torna-se essencial que exista preocupação com a manutenção da beleza natural deste sítio.
A zona possui duas quedas de água e várias lagoas para ver e explorar. Há zonas nas quedas de água bastante profundas e que proporcionam os tão agradáveis saltos para a água. Como em qualquer rio, tenham cuidado, mas apreciem a paisagem lindíssima e refrescante.
Se explorarem um pouco o rio, verão que após a primeira cascata (a maior), encontram uma mais pequena e onde se avista uma ponte de pedra (pedonal). Esta ponte fazia parte do antigo caminho que ligava as aldeias de um lado ao outro do rio. Pelo rio não conseguirão subir à ponte. Pode ser acedida de duas formas, uma de carro (+41° 4' 12.27", -7° 45' 11.10"), com um ligeiro passeio a pé até à ponte, e outro a pé (+41° 4' 3.43", -7° 45' 40.12"), um pouco mais longo, no meio de quintas, mas em caminho público (desde que o sigam estarão sempre em zona de passagem) onde terão uma vista superior do rio e poderão observar a continuidade do rio varosa a montante.
Na margem esquerda do rio está a ser construido um edifício para turismo rural. O proprietário permite que se faça a passagem pelas terras junto à margem do rio. Pede apenas que se mantenha a beleza do sítio e que não se polua. Podem adicionalmente seguir pelo curso do rio, para montante, estacionando e descendo junto à ponte de Vila Pouca/Eira Queimada.
Durante o Inverno, e com a subida dos níveis da água, poderá não ser possível aceder à Cache que se encontra na margem direita do rio (para que se dirige para montante). Esperamos que tenha ficado suficientemente alta para que não seja detriorada com a água.
The 4th cache of "things of my land" is probably one of the most beautiful places we know in Portugal!
These waterfalls were "hidden" for decades. Were surrounded by woods and on private property and had never been seen as today. This site is still a virgin and as such, it is essential that there is concern about maintaining the natural beauty of this place.
The area has two waterfalls and several ponds to see and explore. There are areas in the waterfalls and deep enough to provide the so nice jumps into the water. As in any river, be careful, but enjoy the beautiful landscape and refreshing.
If you explore the river, you will see after the first cascade (the largest), a smaller one which overlooks a stone bridge (pedestrian). This bridge was part of the old road that connected the villages of side to side of the river. It's not possible to go to the bridge by the river. Can be accessed in two ways, one, by car (+41 ° 4 '27.12 ", -7 ° 45' 10.11"), with a slight walk to the bridge, and another, by walk (+41 ° 4 '3:43 ", -7 ° 45 '40.12 "), a little longer, in the middle of farms, but in the public way (always follow the passageway) which will have a top view of the river and could observe the continuity of the Varosa river upstream.
On the left bank is being built a building for rural tourism. The owner allows to pass all the lands along the river. Asks only to maintain the beauty of the site and that does not pollute. Can additionally follow the course of the river, upstream, parking and down near the bridge on Vila Pouca/Eira Quiemada.
During winter and rising water levels, may not be able to access the cache that is on the right bank of the river (which is directed to upstream).
