Geocache Description:

The cache IS at the posted coordinates.

The Challenge

Find at least 100 challenge caches.

The Details

  • You haven’t “found” a challenge cache until you’ve completed its requirements, signed its physical log, and logged your online “Found It.”

  • A challenge cache “requires that geocachers meet a geocaching-related qualification or series of tasks before the challenge geocache can be logged.”

Simply having the word “challenge” in the cache name isn’t sufficient to make a cache a challenge cache. Nor does the lack of the word “challenge” in its name necessarily mean it’s not a challenge cache. Email us if you’re wondering if a particular cache is a challenge cache.

  • You cannot include this cache among your 100 qualifying finds.

  • You cannot find your own caches.

  • For western Canada, hurleyanne has created a huge challenge cache bookmarks list organized by provinces. If you’re planning a visit to the United States, then shell1fish maintains a nice set of challenge cache bookmarks lists organized by states. For the UK and Ireland, Geocass&Andy750x has created this bookmarks list. Similarly, for Germany, siggibär has produced this bookmarks list.

Logging this Cache

You can sign this cache’s physical log sheet before you complete its requirements. But do not log an online “Found It” until you’ve signed this cache’s physical log sheet and shown that you’ve met the challenge requirements. We’ll delete any premature “Found Its.”

If you sign the physical log sheet before you complete the requirements, then you can log an online “Write Note” to help you remember this fact.

Providing Proof

One of the things you must do before claiming an online “Found It” is show that you’ve met this challenge’s requirements. You can do this in various ways, but just be sure your list of 100 qualifying challenge caches includes (at a minimum): (1) their GCCodes, (2) their cache names, and (3) the dates you found them.

  • For example, you could create a publicly viewable bookmarks list. Here’s a link to a bookmarks list of all our challenge cache finds.

  • Or, you could include the list as part of your online log. For instance, here’s a partial list of our 100 qualifying finds:

    1. GC2WVGJ - 10 Terrain/Difficulty Combos Challenge - 26 Apr 13
    2. GC3T7TT - 10,000 Finds Challenge with a Twist. - 13 Sep 12
    3. GC2WACV - 100 Alberta Cachers Challenge - 27 Nov 11
    4. GC3BFPZ - 100 Favorite Points Challenge - 28 Apr 13
    5. GC3CK1Z - 100 FTFs Challenge - 14 Feb 12

    100. GC2YK5T - Challenging Meta-Challenge for Challengers - 27 Jun 13

  • Or, you could use third-party software to create your list and upload an image of that list to your online log. For instance, here’s a partial list of our 100 qualifying finds (click here for our full list):

We got the idea for this challenge from sparkyfry’s “Challenging Meta-Challenge for Challengers” (GC2YK5T).

Congratulations to One Bad Ant for being the first to complete and find this challenge.
