Geocache Description:

Bring your own pen/pencil as there is no room but for a log to sign.

Inverness has never been incorporated but the town dates back to the early 1900's.  The first post office opened in 1909.  This booming homesteading town at one time consisted of 2 grocery stores, 2 bars, a bank, livery stable, 2 service stations, hardware store & school.  Scotty Watson, a pioneer stockman & railroad foreman, named this little town after his native village Inverness Scotland.  This little town is very dear to me, as I was born & raised here.  Enjoy a short drive through this little friendly town.
