Grindley Brook Locks.
Easy walking along the towpath to the Lockside Cafe, just need to take a bit of extra care over the last few metres because GZ is on the other side of the canal.
Jan 2014 saw the locks undergo major restoration work with the gates replaced and brickwork repaired, one Sunday during the restoration work the general public were allowed to enter the locks and walk down the canal.
From GZ heading North this part of the Llangollen canal, passes right through the village of Grindley Brook descending as it goes first through the famous three chamber staircase lock under the A41, three more locks a little further on continue to lower the canal down onto the Cheshire Plain.
I'm calling this the Geocachers trail because ultimately I'd like to name each cache after a Geocacher who follows the trail, if you have a favorite that you would like to be named after then nominate it in your log otherwise I will select one.
