Geocache Description:

This cache is located on a lower peak of Eagle Mountain. The location offers beautiful views of the area including Eagle Lake and Nicatous Lake in the distance. I discovered this particular location when I was exploring the roads off of Stud Mill Road in 2008. When I decided I wanted to put out a new cache I knew this was the perfect place.

You can take a high clearance vehicle to the trailhead. I had no problems taking my pickup truck to the trailhead. Be careful of washouts on these dirt roads as they have a tendency to form after rain storms. There is a small washout as you get closer to the trailhead, but it is well marked with flagging tape and I had no trouble getting around it.

Once you reach the trailhead you will have a short, but somewhat steep hike up the trail. Follow this trail all the way to the very end. Once you get to the final clearing, walk straight ahead just past the edge of the clearing, and you will find the cache hidden under inside the trunk of a scraggly tree. The cache is covered with bark and sticks. See the attached photos of said tree. The container is a red 1L wide-mouth Nalgene bottle. Please replace the cache, making sure the cover is fully closed, and the cache is well hidden.
