According to their web site, the church has been a part of Chilworth for "over 75 years".
The cache is a 2L camoed clip&lock box. Beware barbed wire very close to cache.
As of 2015, I have been asked by the residents of the road to stop cachers visiting the church. Therefore the old clues are no more and a new set - producing the same coordinates are now in place.
New values and formula as of 2022-08.
At the start of the road to the church, there is, on the east, a church sign below which is a 10-character name ABCDEFGHIJ (a=1, j=0, z=6); on the west is a telegraph pole with two high up disks QR and 4 pairs of carved characters "BT" (literal) then TU, VW, XY. I am not sure if some of the characters are letters or numbers, so in the case of possible ambiguity, read them as numbers 0=O 1=I 2=Z. Any letters have the value using (a=1, j=0, z=6) again.
The cache is at N 51 12.(T-X)(A+Q)(E+Y), W 000 32.(Q+V)(W)(D-U) .
Good hunting. You may also be interested in my other caches.
