The Shotley peninsular in Suffolk has beautiful countryside, quaint villages and is surrounded by water on three sides- the rivers Orwell to the north, River Stour to the south and the North Sea to its east. The villages hold varied charm, with many churches, pubs, cafes and marinas dotted throughout the region. Additionally there is naval history to be discovered, and we would recommend visiting Shotley church for a glimpse to its past and the forlorn sight that the gates to HMS Ganges show. Additionally there is a museum to this iconic naval institution in Shotley Marina To claim this cache list 25 finds within the triangle (the A137, and Rivers Orwell and Stour). The co-ordinates above are for a physical cache with log. Probably the best way to achieve this challenge would be to cycle. Alternatively a car can be used as many of the caches have nearby or suggested parking points. Additionally public transport is available to and from Ipswich, although more scant during the evenings.
The best of luck to any who try this.
