O Platô é uma extensa laje de granito, a 1945 metros de altitude, de onde se tem uma ótima visão panorâmica dos arredores: Monte Verde, Vale do Paraíba, a Pedra Partida, a Pedra Redonda e o Pico do Selado, ponto mais alto da região.
Para pegar a trilha até o Platô, suba a Rua da Mantiqueira até o Café Platô (são aproximadamente 2 km do centro de Monte Verde). No local há uma área para estacionamento gratuito. São 1200 metros praticamente só de subida constante até o topo.
Também é possível chegar ao Platô seguindo pela Trilha do Chapéu do Bispo (650 metros). Esse caminho é mais plano e menos cansativo. Do Chapéu do Bispo ao Platô, são apenas mais 450 metros. Embora seja fácil encontrar essa trilha, não há placas indicativas.

The Platô is a large granite slab, 1945 meters above sea level, from where you have a great panoramic view of the surroundings: Monte Verde, Vale do Paraíba, Pedra Partida, Pedra Redonda and Pico do Selado, the highest point in the region.
To pick up the trail to the Platô, follow the Mantiqueira Street until the Café Platô (it is approximately 2 km from the center of Monte Verde). On this site there is a parking lot . The trail is 1200 meters long, pretty much just climbing until the top.
You can also reach the Platô following the Chapéu do Bispo track (650 meters). This path is flatter and less tiring. From the Chapéu do Bispo to the Platô, it is only more 450 meters. While it is easy to find this track, there are no signposts.
