PEXESO - je veľmi jednoduchá spoločenska hra s 32 pármi kariet, otočených lícom dole. Protihráči striedavo otáčajú po dve karty a snažia sa najsť jednotlivé páry. Hra končí po vyzbieraní všetkých párov a hráč s väčším počtom párov vyhráva.

- Prapôvod nájdeme v starej japonskej hre
- Pexeso, ako ho ho poznáme u nás. vzniklo v roku 1965 na základe programu ČTV "Pekelně se soustřeď"
- za autora sa považuje výtvarník Zdenek Princ, ked ho novy zamestnavatel Pressfoto poziadal, aby vymyslel jednoduchu hru, ktora by cinnost tohto nakladatelstva naštartovala
- Názov vznikol z prvých slabík pôvodného TV programu
- Vôbec prvé PEXESO bolo na motívy vtedy veľmi populárnych mayoviek Winnetou a vyšlo v náklade 100 tis. kusov
- V zahraničí je hra známa pod menom MEMORY alebo PAIRS

PEXESO - is very simple game with 32 pairs of cards turned face down. Players in rotation turn always two cards trying to find pairs. The game is finished after collecting all pairs and the player with the most pairs collected is the winner.
INTERESTING FACTS
- The origins are in old Japanese game
- Pexeso as we know it, was created in 1965 on the base of TV program "Pekelně se soustřeď", which has meaning something like "Concentrate like hell!"
- the author is an artist Zdenek Princ when his new employer Pressfoto asked to create a simple game which would help to get this company going
- The name was taken from first syllables of TV program
- Very first PEXESO was on the motives of then very popular Winnetou books by Karl May and it was released in a batch of 100 000 pieces.
- Abroad, the game is known under name MEMORY or PAIRS
