A casual social at the Driehoek camp site the evening before the expedition to the "Abandoned Space Ship". This event is for both those doing the hike and others that just feel like camping for fun. The hike to The Abandoned Space Ship will take place on Saturday, 31 August.
Mission :
The basic idea is to get together and finalize the group's strategy for approaching the abandoned spaceship and come up with contingency plans for any "situation" that may arise in case any extra-terrestrial life-forms are encountered during the mission. Please log your "WILL ATTEND" if you are interested in coming so that you receive any updates regarding the arrangements.
Accommodation :

The rates listed on the website have been confirmed as being correct. You are responsible for your own accommodation arrangements and bookings. Food, drinks, etc are also your own responsibility.
HIKING PERMITS : If I have understood the information given to me correctly, hiking permits will cost R60 per person per day. If you have a valid Wild Card you will not have to pay the Day Hike Fee for the Cederberg Wilderness, but you still need to get a permit.
How to get there :
Take the N7 from Cape Town through Piketberg and on to Citrusdal. Turn off the N7 onto the dirt road to Algeria. Pass Algeria, and travel over the Uitkyk Pass before turning left at the signpost for Driehoek.
