SOBE Yourself Traditional Geocache

Cache is located in Monitor Valley, Northumberland cave in Northumberland canyon. Cave is not visible from the road, there is a short overgrown road that dead ends and a game trail leads up but for only part way then head to the north mountain and start hiking. Thought it would be nice to share the area and place our first cache in a very remote place. Road is travable, but very seasonal. Cache is accessible from both Smoky and Monitor Valleys.

Not a park and grab! Please leave sobe lid that cache is named after. The Cache is located near the mouth of Northumberland cave. Cache is not inside the cave. Short steep climb, it's mostly a lot of shale rock in the area, so watch your step. Cache is not the small pvc pipe located at the cave entrance. Difficulty is due to the remote location and the poor gps signal in the area. You don't have to travel any further than the mouth of the cave. Travel at your own risk and enter cave at your own risk, there is no cell service in the area. Cache is located at over 8100 feet be prepared for the elements. Original cache contents: 2 slinkys, 2 bouncing balls, dinosaur, Kermit Pez dispenser, 2 pencils, glow bracelet, matchbox car, basketball magic towel, 3 snap D rings, matchbox container, Michelob Ultra cap.
