NENE WALK
I have pleced a few caches along parts of the River Nene, Nene Way, and the Grand Union canal. When I set the route, I walked it the 1st day. As it follows the canal towpath / river, it is a fairly flat walk. The paths for the most parts are in excellent condition (with the exception of a section from Upton Grange through Bly Lane) and I decided to set the whole trail by bicycle. A small section of the Nene Way passes through the residential estate, but I have tried not to place any caches where they are likely to be overlooked by any muggles.
This is a circular route, but there are plenty of options to break it up into smaller sections if need be. Parking can be found fairly central at N 52° 13.824 W 000° 55.934, which would enable you to break the trail into 2 sections. There are also a few existing caches along the way or very close to the route.
Some of the caches are custom made and you will require tweezers and a pen / pencil to sign the logs. Please take care when replacing the cache to ensure everyone following you can enjoy the experience too.
