Runcorn railway station was opened in 1869, and lies on the Liverpool branch of the West Coast Main Line, between Liverpool and Crewe. The station lies just south of the "Ethelfleda Bridge" - the railway bridge across the Mersey, built in 1868, and not far from the "Silver Jubilee Bridge", better known simply as the "Runcorn Bridge" - the road bridge opened in 1961.
The cache is a 35mm film canister.
There is plenty of parking in the station car parks, and it's free for visits of 20 minutes or less.
