The circular trail is road based and it is ideal for bikes, horses, cars, motorbikes, quads or any other small vehicle you may like to travel in...or if you fancy you can walk it!
The route will take you through the pretty villages of Spirthill, Charlcutt and Foxham, crossing the route of the old Wilts and Berks canal twice.
At the higher points there are wide views of the White horse at Cherhill and the Wiltshire countryside. There is a bit of a steep climb into Charlcutt then a nice downhill after Spirthill then a smaller hill before Foxham the rest is fairly flat.
The ring of 23 caches including a Church Micro 3944...Foxham and Little Bridge 143, can be done in any order. There are places to pull over near every cache but please be careful and park sensibly as these are mainly single track lanes used by farm machinery, buses and locals! There are ideal parking spots at Number 1, Number 4 and just off the junction by Number 12 also in the village of Foxham where you can find the village pub (just around the corner from the church!)
You will be looking for a variety of cache containers and sizes, but you may see a bit of a theme
most of which will not have a pen and some will need a log extraction tool so come prepared! I have given fairly good hints at most locations so they shouldn't be too tricky!
Please make sure all caches are replaced as found. Feel free to copy and paste logs, but consider a bit of a story along the way - makes for much more interesting reading!
