Anlässlich des MEGA Switzerland vom 09. – 11.05.2014 haben wir eine Serie von Rätseln entworfen, damit du unser schönes Land noch etwas besser kennen lernen kannst. Löse die 12 Rätsel und begib dich auf eine Runde in und um Frauenfeld. Wie bei Mystery-Caches üblich, befindet sich der Final nicht an den oben angegebenen Koordinaten. Viel Spass bei den Aufgaben!
Die Schweiz hat mehr zu bieten als nur Heidi und Schokolade. Obwohl das Land geografisch klein ist, wird die Schweiz weltweit als bedeutender Partner in Forschung und Wissenschaft anerkannt. Schwerpunkte der Wirtschaft sind der Produktions- und Dienstleistungssektor. Die Textilindustrie ist weitgehend verschwunden. Bedeutend sind jedoch immer noch die Nahrungsmittel- und Maschinenindustrie. Der Handel, das Gesundheits- und Bildungswesen sowie der Banken- und Versicherungssektor sind ebenfalls wichtige Pfeiler der Wirtschaft. An Bedeutung zugenommen hat der seit 150 Jahren bestehende Tourismus.
As a part of the MEGA Switzerland, which takes place on 09 - 11/05/2014 we have designed a series of puzzles in order to learn more about our beautiful country. Solve the 12 puzzles and go on tour in and around Frauenfeld. As usual with mystery caches, the final is not at the coordinates listed above. Have fun with the challenges!

Areas of the economy are the manufacturing and services sectors. The textile industry has largely disappeared. Significantly, however, are still the food and machinery industries. The trade, health and education as well as the banking and insurance sectors are also important pillars of the economy, and the tourism, which exists for 150 years, has increased in importance.
Das Alphorn gehört zu den Blechblasinstrumenten, obwohl es mehrheitlich aus Holz gebaut wird, und hat weder Klappen, Züge noch Ventile. Je nach Landschaft kann man ein Alphorn 5 – 10 km weit hören. Bereits 1527 wurde das erste Alphorn schriftlich erwähnt.
Das Alphorn geriet im 18. Jahrhundert fast in Vergessenheit, doch der Tourismus in den Schweizer Alpen gab der Folklore und dem Alphorn wieder Aufschwung. Heute gilt das Alphorn nebst dem Schweizer Taschenmesser, Käse, Schokolade und Edelweiss als das Nationalsymbol. Der Schweizer Jodelverband zählt rund 1800 Bläser, Tendenz zunehmen. Auch in der Popmusik wurde das Alphorn schon verwendet. Pepe Lienhard, ein Schweizer Musiker und seit einiger Zeit in Frauenfeld wohnhaft, vertrat mit einem Alphorn und seiner Band die Schweiz 1977 am Eurovision Song Contest und erreichte mit dem Song "Swiss Lady" den 6. Platz. Übrigens: Pepe Lienhard spielte schon mit Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston sowie Tina Turner und begleitet seit fast 30 Jahren Udo Jürgens mit seiner Band auf Tournee.

The alphorn is a brass instruments, although it is built mainly of wood, and has no valves. Depending on the landscape an alphorn can be heared up to 5 to 10 km. The first alphorn was mentioned in 1527.
In the 18th century the alphorn came almost forgotten, but with the tourism in the Swiss Alps the folklore and the alphorn came popular more and more. Today the alphorn is the Swiss national symbol like the Swiss Army knife, cheese, chocolate and Edelweiss. The Swiss yodelling association has around 1,800 Alphorn players, tends to increase. Even in pop music, the alphorn has been used. Pepe Lienhard, a Swiss musician and for some time living in Frauenfeld, represented Switzerland in 1977 at the Eurovision Song Contest with an alphorn and his band and reached the 6th place with the song "Swiss Lady". By the way: Pepe Lienhard has played with Frank Sinatra, Whitney Houston and Tina Turner and accompanied for almost 30 years Udo Jürgens with his band on tour.
