Geocache Description:

This cache is located along US-41 near one of the three stone boats located in the Keweenaw.

The best place to park is on Mine Rd (also called Mesnard Location Rd) or you can park on the shoulder of US-41. There is a ditch which runs along US-41 so you will have to find a place to cross it.

The cache is a large container with room for large trading items.

The stone pile is what remains of a stone boat built during the Depression as a part of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) designed to provide work for unemployed people.  The best known of the stone boats is located along US-41 in Kearsarge.  The third stone boat is located in Centennial Heights.  This boat has been forgotten, however the other two have been preserved and are well maintained.
