Scarey Tor is a small and low-lying tor, which lies unvisited by many. It is very close to Cullever Steps, a popular crossing point of the East Okement Rover and a gateway to Okehampton and the military ranges.
The tor is easy to get to from either Belstone, via well defined paths for the most part from the moor gate, or indeed from the section of military ring road still available to the public on non firing days, accessed from Okehampton.
The cache is not on any military range and comprises a container with a 35mm film canister containing the log. There are good views all along the Belstone ridge from Tors End Tor to Winter Tor.
