Colorado Star

Colorado Fun Fact:
Fruita is known for its abudance of dinosaur fossils. In 1900, paleontologists found the first known Brachiosaurus altithorax (world’s largest dinosaur) and, in 1901, they found nearly two thirds of an Apatosaurus excelsus skeleton (commonly known as a Brontosaurus). Many other dinosaur fossils, including Allosaurus fragilis, have been excavated from the area.
