ESCADINHAS DO RIBEIRO FRIO
Ribeiro Frio é um lugar do concelho de Santana, situado num local de grande beleza natural, bem no coração da Floresta Laurissilva, Património Mundial Natural classificado pela UNESCO, tendo-se tornado célebre por ser daqui que se acede a algumas das mais belas Levadas da Ilha da Madeira, como as Levadas do Furado, da Serra ou do Juncal.
No Parque Florestal do Ribeiro Frio, para além das muitas espécies de grande interesse que o habitam, e das paisagens memoráveis que aqui se podem observar, situa-se a cerca de 860 metros de altura o interessante Posto Aquícola do Ribeiro Frio, com os seus viveiros de Trutas Arco-íris (Oncorhynchus mykissWalbaum) que visam a produção de trutas para o repovoamento das linhas de água da Ilha da Madeira.
Esta multi-cache leva-nos a descobrir mais um belo recanto do Ribeiro Frio, onde podemosobservar o fluxo das águas que alimentam o Posto Aquícola do Ribeiro Frio.
Ribeiro Frio is a place in the municipality of Santana, situated in a place of great natural beauty, right in the heart of Floresta Laurissilva, a World Natural Heritage listed by UNESCO, having become famous for being here that accesses some of the most beautiful “Levadas” of Madeira, like the “Levadas” of Furado, of Serra and of Juncal.
In Forest Park Ribeiro Frio, in addition to the many species that inhabit great interest, and memorable landscapes that can be observed here, is located about 860 meters high the interesting Aquaculture Station of Ribeiro Frio, with its nurseries Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykissWalbaum) aimed at the production of trout to replenish the water of Madeira.
This multi-cache leads us to discover another beautiful corner of Ribeiro Frio, where we can observe the flow of the waters that feed the Aquaculture Station of Ribeiro Frio.
