Korçë (definite Albanian form: Korça) is a city in southeastern Albania and the capital of the Korçë District. It has a population of around 105,000 people (2009 census), making it the sixth largest city in Albania. It stands on a plateau some 850 m (2,789 ft) above sea level, surrounded by the Morava Mountains.
Korca is considered the birthplace of the Albanian literature and is often referred to as the "cradle of the Albanian culture." The city architecture with its Ottoman, French, and Romanian influences, the broad, tree-lined boulevards and rich parks and city markets, monuments, mosques and churches (Byzantine and Ottoman period) makes a special rarity Korça in Albania.
The cache is hidden in the near to base of a large cross on a hill above the town, at an altitude of 1404 meters above sea level. About 50 meters away is the church of St. Ilya. To the hill a narrow but comfortable road leads from the city.

Es steht auf einem Plateau etwa 850 m über dem Meeresspiegel, durch die Morava Mountains umgeben. Sie ist Amtssitz des gleichnamigen Qarks und des Kreises.
Korça gilt als Geburtsort der albanischen Literatur und wird oft als „Wiege der albanischen Kultur“ bezeichnet. Die Stadtarchitektur mit ihren osmanischen, französischen und romanischen Einflüssen, den breiten, von Bäumen gesäumten Boulevards und den üppigen Parkanlagen sowie den Stadtmärkten, Monumenten, Moscheen und Kirchen (byzantinische bis osmanische Zeit) macht Korça zu einer besonderen Seltenheit in Albanien.

Korçë je nejvýznamnější město v okrese Korçë v jihovýchodní Albánii. Má asi 105000 obyvatel (sčítání z roku 2009) a je proto šestým největším městem Albánie. Leží na náhorní plošině ve výšce 850 m n. m. a je obklopeno pohořím Morava. Podle albánského sčítání lidu z roku 1989 tvoří Albánci 97,8 % obyvatel okresu, Makedonci 2 % a další méně než 0,2 %.
Korca je považováno za rodiště albánské literatury a je často uváděná jako "kolébka albánské kultury". Architektura města má zřetelné vlivy osmanské, francouzské a rumunské, široké, stromy lemované bulváry a svěží parky a městské trhy, památky, mešity a kostely (byzantské a osmanské období) - to vše dělá z Korça albánskou zvláštnost.
Keš je ukryta blízko podstavce velkého kříže na kopci nad městem, v nadmořské výšce 1404 metrů. Asi 50 metrů vzdálený je kostelík svatého Ilji. Na kopec vede z města úzká ale pohodlná silnička.
