Geocache Description:

The published co-ords will take you to an infant's grave with a small tombstone in the far left corner of the churchyard of the parish church of St James The Great in Aston Abbotts. The cache is not in the churchyard.

The church is dedicated to St James The Great, and the current building dates from the mid 1860s, when the Nave and Chancel were rebuilt on new foundations at a total cost of £1239.3.11d. The tower dates from much earlier, and records exist of a church here as early as 1291. The community is recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086.

Now, back to the cache. You need to take a short tour of this delightful little church and its surroundings, collecting certain information. Some of the information you need is available inside the church, which is open daily from 9am until dusk (or may alternatively be found on-line).

Starting at the above grave, convert the first letter of the child’s surname in the normal way to give you A. She was born and died in 195B.

Three rows in front is the grave of Andrew John Page, who died in 19.C.2004

How head back towards the church to find a tombstone with an image of a pig. Peter Edwin Waite died in 2010 aged D6 years.

On the north side of the church, how many Roads lead to 6 year old John? (count upright stones only). Let the answer be E.

Inside the church (and online), you will find a roll of previous incumbents. Joseph Smith ceded to The Honourable Thomas de Grey in 18GF.

Back outside, and on the outside of the tower how many circular iron spreading plates are there in total. The answer is H.

You now have all the information you need to find the cache, which is at
