Little Bridges # 138 - Plummers Water Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Knightwood Oak: This has been one of my Geocaches that I really liked, and also those that have found it in the past. BUT over the years I think I have replaced this Cache not far off 10 times, and changed the clue and hidey hole, BUT again it has been reported missing, So Afraid it's time to ARCHIVE this cache, Maybe next Spring I might bring it back. Thanks for all the great logs and FAV points.

Geocache Description:

My First in "The Little Bridges" series of Geocaches.

Some of you will remember this little bridge which has a great view out to The Solent, from a previous (now archived a year ago) cache called 'Windsurf Wonderland'.

Such a perfect peaceful place with amazing views, I feel it should be revisted again. So using the bridge in this "Little Bridges" series.

This footbridge covers the stream coming out of 'Lake Covert' and out through 'Plummers Water' to the Solent.

To reach this 'little bridge' drive right down Tanners Lane to the southern end, where there are a few parking bays on left.
Then walk along to the bridge, and look under.
After finding your Cache, why not cross back over the bridge, walk along and enjoy a rest by sitting on the nice wooden seat in memory of 'Chris & Win' who loved this place. Enjoy the views and the bird life.

The Cache is now a box container with a new book inside plus pen, The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast, Damian from Winter Foxes has created and updates a list of cachers who has found 10 or more little bridges and can be found here, if you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan here and he will give you a number for your bridge, to qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xx then name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to Damian’s list.
