Geocache Description:

One of a short series placed to coincide with Beds, Bucks and Herts Bordering in the Ridiculous #66.

This little series takes you on a walk on the footpaths around The Golden Parsonage, a red brick classical early 18th century house with glazed brick 'giant' pilasters, believed to be the surviving wing of a much larger house, possibly never completed. It was much restored and refurbished in 1935, following 60 years as a school. The Estate has 5 acres of gardens and surrounding parkland, with veteran Spanish chestnut trees and pedigree Beef Shorthorn Herd. Located close to M25 and M1 and easy reach from Pinewood, Borehamwood/Elstree and Levesden, the Estate has frequently been used for unit base and filming ancillary to adjacent property. Locations include houses, cottages, cricket ground, river valley, Georgian stables, farm buildings, tracks, lanes, woodland, farm and parkland. Films/TV productions on the Estate include 'The Lair of the White Worm', 'Foyles War', Harry Enfield Sketch Show, 'Spooks', BBC Play for Today, 'Footballers' Wives'. You are looking for a 35mm film canister.
