A short event at 12 noon OR 3:00! We are having 2 spittin' ceremonies to accomodate everyone. The City of Bastrop is THRILLED at our presence here for the weekend and wants to provide a special welcome to us from their city.

I asked the Bastrop County Historical Society if they could hold a special Bridge Spittin' ceremony just for us and they were more than eager to do so!
Because of concerns about the weight that the bridge can handle, we will probably gather in a grassy area on the west side of the bridge. We will have the ceremony, walk across in small groups, and spit. Certificates will be available at the bridge. In case of rain, you can mosey on down to the Museum and Visitor's Center and pick them up there.... N30° 06.562 W97° 19.200

Be aware there is LIMITED parking!
If you are not participating in the Challenge, you are encouraged to attend the 12 noon ceremony! You will only receive one smiley for this event, so you don't need to attend both ceremonies unless you just like to spit. 
One certificate per person, please.
