Hunt the thimble Traditional Geocache
Goldenshoes: Unfortunately this cache is now disabled. The people who have been minding it for me have said that it has become a security issue as people are leaving drugs to be picked up in places around the town and so we have taken the decision to disable it. Thanks to all who have enjoyed the search over the past couple of years.... What a shame that it has come to this.

Do you remember the game of hunt the thimble...? Well, it's time to play again! In the wonderful old town of Dubrovnik, this is not a cache for the faint hearted, 60 steps lead you just past the doorway of the church Sigurata to the end of the street.
This is a great opportunity to see a tiny church that is open only at limited times, and is set back off the usual tourist track. It has a delightful little courtyard to have a break from the midday sun, before you tackle the last few steps to the cache. When you find a place to sit and rest you know you are very close! The close proximity of buildings made the gps leap around a bit, but the clue should help. The owner of the building gave permission to hide the thimble on her property and is looking forward to watching the search! You will need to bring a pen. Please read this VERY CAREFULLY!!!! the cache is NOT in the church grounds!!!! read the instructions and then read them again, or you will spend a lot of time looking in the wrong place! One of the pictures left by other people is very misleading. I repeat - the cache is NOT in the church grounds!!
