KVARNER Cache 58 is located near the most western monastery of the Eastern Orthodox Church in Gomirje, 5 km from Vrbovsko. The monastery was founded in 1600 and the church of St. Jovan Preteča construction began in 1719. The Eastern Orthodox church of the monastery Gomirje is a single nave building, built as an annexe to the three-winged sinle-floored monastery. Traces of baroque decorations are visible on the inner walls- Since it was built, the monastery has served as a renowned spiritual centre of the Eastern Orthodox church and it will certainly keep its reputation.
