This cache has a bit of everything! A remote Idaho road, a 2+ mile hike in beautiful Juniper and Sage landscape, Canyons, wildlife, history, and a unique find! You'll need a high clearance vehicle, and gear for an extended hike (good boots, hat, lunch, lots of water, and a camera). This is not your pillbox in a rock pile!
This cache is dedicated to my buddy's Dad, Ken Campbell! Thanks for introducing me to this area and creating a life long legacy of good times with the best of friends and family! You would have loved this game!
Take Mud Flat Road to Grasshopper Road (N 42 32.411 W 116 48.280) and turn south. Be aware that property to the south of Mud Flat road to the east of these coordinates is private property, please do not attempt to walk to this cache directly from Mud Flat road. Take Grasshopper Road 1.5 miles or so and find a nice place to park. There is no trail, but the walking is very nice, nothing too steep, but a good pair of boots is a good idea. Come prepared, this is a very remote cache that involves a 2mile plus hike.
We worked hard to make this a great experience, this isn't you typical pill bottle in a rock pile. Update: May 2017, will make repairs this weekend, hope you make the trip out to find it!
