A ilha da Madeira surgiu num período vulcânico bem activo do nosso passado que cessou há aproximadamente 6500 anos. Foi essa mesma actividade vulcânica que dotou a nossa bela ilha de um solo fértil onde surgiu um manto de antigas florestas subtropicais que ainda hoje persistem. A junção do terreno bem acidentado com vales, montanhas, escarpas, penhascos, fajãs, caldeirões juntamente com a bela Laurissilva que bem cresceu, tornaram a nossa ilha num autêntico paraíso... A pérola do atlântico... Um tesouro natural onde a cada esquina podemos encontrar algo que nos impressiona, nos surpreende, e nos deixa rendidos à sua beleza...
The Madeira Island has emerged in an active volcanic period of our past that ceased about 6500 years ago. It was this same volcanic activity that endowed our beautiful island of fertile ground where it grew an old mantle of subtropical forests that still persist today. The junction of the hilly land with valleys, mountains, escarpments, cliffs, coves, potholes along with beautiful Laurissilva that well grew, made our island a paradise ... The pearl of the Atlantic ... A natural treasure where in every corner we can find something that impresses us, surprise us, and let us surrendered to its beauty ...
E assim foi: numa das nossas expedições pela floresta virgem da nossa ilha nos deparamos com este cenário idílico... Perfeitamente criado pelas forças da natureza... A curiosidade fez sempre o homem chegar mais além, e este pequeno curso de água chamou-nos a atenção e a curiosidade... E subindo junto ao riacho, fomos encontrar esta pequena queda de água, num local moldado pelas águas puras da nossa bela ilha...
And so it was: in one of our expeditions by the virgin forest of our island we came across this idyllic setting ... Perfectly designed by the forces of nature ... Curiosity has always made the man reach further, and this short watercourse caught our attention and curiosity ... And rising along the creek, we find this little waterfall, a place shaped by the pure waters of our beautiful island ...
