Geocache Description:

This is the fourth cache in a walking loop containing 4 caches that takes you up a popular dirt hiking trail and down a narrow slot canyon that is filled with a beautiful rainbow of colored rock formations. The round-trip hiking distance is 1.75 miles and the elevation change is 310 Feet.

After leaving the Top of the Slot #3 cache proceed down the wash to the east.  The Ginger Bike Trail begins by jumping into the wash so it is easier to walk to the right of the trail in the wash to start down the slot.  This is a beautiful narrow slot canyon with a lot of colorful rock formations.  Be careful of the radical extreme mountain bikers that run down this trail to jump the waterfall, and do NOT navigate this canyon if it is raining or about to rain.  The waterfall can be carefully walked down without using your hands or sliding on your bottom if you have fair balance and some hiking experience.  You can follow the wash east to the Lower Lake View Trail then follow it north to the Crossroads #2 location and then down the River Mountain Trail back to the parking lot.  The Ginger Bike Trail exits the wash to the south just down from the waterfall, but you can stay in the wash to the Lower Lake View Trail.  Be careful of desert critters and carry plenty of water.
