Geocache Description:

This cache is located near a large pile of tangled steel and granite blocks, arranged in a rough semicircle.

According to local legend, when the Mactaquac Dam was under construction in the 1960s, the Old Grafton Bridge had to be removed. The steel was cut off and taken away. Since the piers would be a boating hazard if they were left, they were dismantled. Some of the stones from the central piers, with steel attached, were dumped here.

Wading boots may be useful, since this peninsula is rather marshy during certain times of the year. A walking stick is recommended.

An old road runs down the center of the peninsula. Do not use this in the summertime, since there are several rather deep holes along it.

Congratulations to Disco318 and tscott on First to Find.

==Update (Sept. 21 / 2013)==
This cache was muggled earlier this year and the large container with all the neat swag was stolen. I have replaced the log in a new, smaller container. Hopefully this will keep it from happening again.
