Welcome to Nine Mile Recreation Area at Riverside State Park!

Just 9 miles northwest of Spokane lies Riverside State Park, Washington's largest State Park. Nine Mile Recreation Area is located on the Little Spokane River, north of Nine Mile Falls.

At the northernmost point of Riverside, this Recreation area sits on 1,500-acres and is one of Riverside's 3 camping locations. The recreation area supports a wide variety of recreational activities such as camping, fishing, swimming and boat launch, enough for several days of recreation.

In the peak of recreational season parking in the lower lot will fill up, and visitors will park at the overflow parking lot listed as the trailhead. The cache is located among the trees just above the overflow parking lot.

Nine Mile Recreation Area, the Equestrian campground and Lake Spokane campground: Day-use areas and boat launches are open April 1 through Oct. 15. Camping is available May 15 through Oct. 15. Washington State Parks are OK with cachers accessing the area in the off season, however access to parking will be closed. Please be safe about your choice of access and DO NOT come into the park from neighboring residential property.
