Geocache Description:

Pack a picnic and bring your kids to spend a couple of hours at this Fairfax County Park. You’ll find chickens, peacocks, rabbits, sheep, goats, pigs, cows and other livestock common to the early farms of Fairfax County. Between the time you arrive at the park and when you leave, expect a trek of between 1.5 to 2 miles including some trail walking.

Frying Pan Park
Frying Pan is a Fairfax County Park available to all, with no charge for admission. Come see the Moffett Blacksmith Shop, the Country Store, the Frying Pan Spring Meeting House, a wide variety of animals, hayrides, music, living history, farm life demonstrations, games and old fashioned fun. Visit the park’s web site and plan to come during scheduled special events year round. Look for donation boxes to help support the park.

The Park is open all winter and many of the animals have their young January through March. Is it a great place for cross country skiing or just enjoying a wonderful winter landscape. Don't miss the waterfall when there is snow and ice around it.

Cache Location
The final cache is hidden somewhere on the park property. It is a bright yellow water-tight box. In order to obtain the coordinates for the cache, open and print the clue sheet below and locate answers to five questions. Once you've answered all of the questions, you'll have the coordinates for the final cache.

Click here to view and print the Clue Sheet.

Notes:

The coordinates given are not the location of the final cache. They are the location of the entrance to the park.

Like most Virginia woods, this park has its share of Poison Ivy. Please make appropriate preparations and dress accordingly.

This geocache has been placed with the permission and cooperation of the park management. Below are suggestions and requests made by the park management:
