Geocache Description:

Leliyn/Edith Falls is located on the western side of Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine Gorge), 42 kilometers north of Katherine along the Stuart Highway. You can enjoy swimming in the paperbark and pandanus fringed natural pool at the base of the falls most of the year, although it may be closed to swimming at times between November through to April. The area is great for bush walking with the 2.6 kilometer Leliyn Trail offering a challenging walk along a steep, rocky loop. There is a chance for a refreshing swim in the upper pool of Leliyn / Edith Falls half way around the trail.  The cache has been placed at the lookout on the 2.6 kilometer Loop Walk. The view from the cache is quiet spectacular so don't forget to bring your camera and as always carry plenty of water. Swimming is permitted in the top pools all year round with the exception of flooding which occurs annually in the Territory. The cache is a large Ammo tin filled with swaps, a logbook and pen. The cache is just above the viewing area away from muggles.
