Geocache Description:

This cache is located in North Beach Park in Branson, just north of Branson Landing.  Plenty of parking is available a few hundred feet away, and a paved trail will get you to within 15 or so feet of this cache.  You are seeking a log only mirco sized cache, so please bring your own pen to sign the log.

I've always liked this spot along the White River, and I figured it would be a great spot for a cache.  This is a perfect spot to sit and fish, or just watch the White roll by.  This tree in particular is very old and very large, and has been hanging over the White River for what I suspect is well over 100 years.  As someone who is a an aficionado of White River history, I relish neat spots like these and often wonder about all the history that has been witnessed from these spots.  I often yearn to be able to experience the river before the dams were put in, just like my ancestors who settled the White in the early 1800s did. By its size, this tree most likely predates all those dams.

This park is closed between the hours of 11:00 pm and 6:00 am.  Please respect those hours and do not seek the cache during those times.

I hope you enjoy this spot and the cache.  Happy caching...
