Geocache Description:

Welcome to Milwaukee’s East Side and the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum, an Italian Renaissance-style mansion overlooking Lake Michigan.  Its Renaissance Garden recreates the classic elements of the Tuscan landscape. On select Sundays, you can enjoy a free musical concert in the villa-inspired courtyard.

Meet the neighborhood!

The two mansions to the NORTH of Villa Terrace were originally owned by the children of Captain Frederick Pabst. To the EAST, you’ll see glorious views of Lake Michigan and Bradford Beach. To the SOUTH, you will see more historic homes and Back Bay Park, a hidden gem perfect for an impromptu picnic! To the WEST, you’ll come across two main thoroughfares: Prospect Avenue, which loops north, and Farwell Avenue, which takes you downtown!

Villa Terrace is part of the Museum Mile and houses furnishings and works of art from the 15th through 18th centuries. Milwaukee's Museum Mile also includes the nearby Charles Allis Art Museum, Museum of Wisconsin Art, the North Point Lighthouse and the Jewish Museum Milwaukee.

TO FIND YOUR CACHE: You don’t have to BE inside the white stone and rod iron walls to get your HANDS on this one!
