The legend says that centuries ago two brothers at a nearby farm from this hidden geocach went fishing on the fjord. At that time the fjord was always full of fish. For theire unfortune a terrible storm hit them, sank their boat and drowned them.
Their mother, who was a sorceress, became full of sorrow and bitterness and put out the spell that there would never be any fish in the fjord. Ever since the fjord is called Veiðileysufjörður, or No Fishing Fjord.
