Geocache Description:

Let's be a part of this celebration for making quality and interesting caches! Come and get a SOUVENIR!

This event forms part of the Maker Madness Celebration initiated by Groundspeak.

MakerMadness Banner

There is a new SOUVENIR up for grabs with the theme of getting some practice and ideas on making quality and interesting geocache hides. Think about caches with Favourite Points.

We really love hiding geocaches and so we teamed up with one of the well known, awesome geocache hiders - ANTRON, to host an opportunity for you to learn about how to make a good quality cache and some ideas on making novel hides.

We will have our tools and equipment set up for you. There will be paint and containers available for a nominal fee of R5 (pay as you use). However, you are more than welcome to bring along your own containers and paint, etc. The small fee is just to cover our costs of paint and material.

Maker Madness Celebration

The idea behind this event and souvenir, is to impart ideas and tips about making good quality and interesting cache hides. Many geocachers are unaware of how to prepare containers and how to make them different and interesting.

This Event will be a "hands on", creative one, where you will gain much insight from the experts and you'll be able to make your own containers using the tools and equipment available for your use.

The Event will take the form of a bring and braai, or bring and picnic. We will then gather at 2:45pm sharp for a workshop guided by Rolf (GEO936) and Anton (Antron). This will last for approximately 45 mins to 1 hour. You'll then be able to ask questions, and get stuck in to making your own containers. After the hard work you can then braai again, especially for those that can only come through later.

=================================================

FOOD ... GLORIOUS FOOD!

I will make a BIG pot of something (not sure what just yet) and a BIG pot of rice, which you are welcome to munch as well. It will just make my life easier for my kiddos to have something to eat, that they like .

I will make a pot of vegetable soup for those that don't eat meat.

Please bring along your own nosh and drinks, and if you can bring a little extra of the nosh, to be able to share with each other.

We have a gas braai for those that want to braai.

Thanks so much!

Silvia - GEO936
