These caches highlight the Rio Osso multi use trail system, a cooperative effort by the Evanston Recreation Department, BRORA, and other agencies. Please prepare for pleasant, sometimes vigorous hiking through some strikingly beautiful sage covered country by having good hiking shoes, water, and clothing appropriate for the elements. These trails may also be covered by mountain bike but are sometimes not well marked and you have to choose which divergent fork to take. To enjoy the wildlife you may want to take binoculars and since there are no trailside potties, you may want to be prepared to Leave no trace. These caches may be more difficult when snow covers the land. Choose times when the trails are not muddy and take a bag for CITO although there is currently very little litter. Take the time to enjoy this great resource.
The trailhead and the map as well as latrines and drinking water are available at the rendezvous parking lot beyond the elk pastures at the Bear River State Park.
Think of clock hands as you follow this trail. Remember that the park closes at 10:00. Starting point overlooks good whitewater during high flow times
