Geocache Description:

We came, We Saw, We cut a trail.  And what is a trail for? A geocache of course!

TAG (Tulsa Area Geocachers) held their 11th annual CITO event at Mohawk Park  on April 20th, 2013.  A group of 25 cachers helped the Oxley Nature Center staff place a new bench on the North Woods Trail and began the process of cutting a new trail, "Thrush Trail."  Raking, clipping, spraying, going through several Chainsaws the trail slowly appeared.
To commemorate the event and celebrate the birth of a new trail we placed a camoed container in the woods.
The cache is near a historical landmark, a sandstone placed and marked with an "X" at what would be the corner of 46th Street North and Sheridan road.  Feel free to find the stone and take pictures, but PLEASE DO NOT DISTURBE THE STONE or deface it in any way.

Mohawk Park's gates open at 7 am and close at 9 pm! On weekends, April 1 -October 31, you'll need to bring $2/vehicle to enter Mohawk Park, unless you are a member of Friends of Oxley Nature Center or Zoo Friends. Pets are not allowed on the Nature Center trails, but leashed ones can enjoy other parts of Mohawk Park.
