Geocache Description:

Cache is located at Little Tor, a fairly substantial tor with a few stacks, south of West Mill Tor on Dartmoor.

Little Tor is suprisingly not named on OS maps but is well known locally.

The cache is a small container with a 35mm film container inside containing the log. This is a beautiful part of the moor, near to many big tors and a lot of military archaeology.

The tor is a few hundred metres north of the army's "Yes Tor Road" a track that connects to the military "Ring Road" in the area around Okehampton, which is now closed off to motorists but provides easy terrain for walkers. There is also a substantial path down to this tor from the nearby West Mill Tor.

Parking can be found along the section of road that is still open to the public, including near Row Tor or towards OP 22.

Please Note: This is a Military Training Area on which live firing and other pyrotechnics may be used. The area is generally open public access. One of the safety rules for public access is:- Do not, (and ensure that children do not) approach, touch or pick up any metal objects lying on the ground. Please obey all byelaws and locally posted information concerning times when the area may be closed. These may be physical barriers, flags or lights.

This cache complies with the DNPA agreement for geocaching - http://www.dartmoor-npa.gov.uk/visiting/vi-enjoyingdartmoor/geocaching
