WWFM – World Wide Flash Mobs – A fun and friendly way to promote geocaching around the world. Thousands of geocachers at dozens of coordinated events spanning the globe, gathering on the same day.
An added dimension is represented by the letters "WW" - World Wide - these events occur across the planet on the same day and are intended to bring geocachers together in a creative way, as well as introduce others (newbies) to the hobby.
As this is my very first time organising an event, I'm taking the opportunity to combine two of my favourite things; caching and cake.
We'll meet at the above co-ordinates in Havant Park at 1:15pm where we will celebrate for 15 mins only, all things cakey. Bring a little cake to enjoy, a few pieces to share with a chum or two... or a cake-shaped hat to show your appreciation of divine baked goods.
Bonus Kudos, to anyone who wants to come dressed as a fairy (cake) Queen Victoria (sponge), someone Swiss (roll) or any portion of the Black Forest (gateau). Any groan-inducing cake-pun costume or accessory will be applauded and appreciated!
Try your best to blend in with the crowd beforehand and disappear in to the background afterwards without a trace! Let's hope the weather is kind to us and please bring any trackables that you want to share. There will be a log book, simply to record the number of attendees as part of the WWFM spectacular!
