Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Lick Creek Park on the outskirts of College Station. There are several trails that can lead to some confusion if you aren't paying attention and the cache is hidden a bit off the path, so that is why it is rated as a 2.5 instead of a 1. Nice lazy day hike though.

Because the original tree that hid the cache fell and decomposed, the cache has been moved a bit. The cache is now located behind the base of a very tall, large tree about 200 ft. off the trail. There are a few pieces of old trees placed on top of the cache though they probably won't always be there. Because it is so far off the trail, I'll upload pictures of the tree.

If you can, please post a picture of the cache in the log when you find it. It helps me to know when the cache is in need of maintenance. Thank you and Happy Hunting!

Archived Previous Description: The cache is located in the hollowed out base of a large tree about 25 feet off the trail. The tree is one of the larger trees you will see and located next to it is a large fallen over tree stump. I took 6 waypoints to average for the location so it should be pretty accurate. To get to the cache you will need to jump over a little running brook (about 1ft wide). If you pass an old railroad tie then you are on the right track.
