The cache is located on the climb up the Gully, one of the routes to climb to the top of the Amphitheatre in the Royal Natal National Park in the uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site.
The Gully was the original route to the top of the Amphitheatre until 1930, when the chain ladder was installed further around the cliffs.
