This letterbox is dedicated to my friend 321Kaboom, who is not only a great geocacher, but is an excellent marksman. A distinguished graduate of the FSFTI, 321Kaboom is one of the "best of the best." As he kindly taught three of my daughters (and their father) how to properly and safely handle firearms, he demonstrates both excellence and a willingness to teach. He has also placed some of the most interesting caches in the Rim Country.
This is a traditional letterbox, meaning that you will need to follow directions, rather than you GPS, to find the cache. Take FR 535 which is south of Payson just before highway 87 descends south. Drive west to the first waypoint, then north and then west. If the road is dry, a passenger car can handle this road if caution is used. [If the road is wet, I advise not seeking this cache]. Park at the posted coordinates, and follow the rough jeep road up the hill approximately 330 degrees north. The letterbox is located 1060 feet from the posted coordinates. It should be straightforward to find. Look for a juniper tree to the right of the road just before the road starts downhill.
This is a letterbox hybrid. In addition to the normal logbook and trade items, it also contains a letterbox stamp, inkpad, and stamp book. Please do not remove the stamp, ink pad, or stamp book. THEY ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS!
