Eight wind gods take care of this cache. They live in a clock tower at the center of Athens.
The tower of the winds is one of the most ingenious creations of ancient architecture, featuring a number of unusual technical gadgets:
- the eight outer walls exhibit sundials
- the interior contained a water clock
- the roof bore a wind vane
- Each of the eight gods occupies a wall facing a different point of the compass
