A repülőtérről északra elhelyezkedő területen csak néhány épület volt. A II. világháború után a szovjet csapatok jelentős fejlesztésekbe kezdtek. 52 téglaszerkezetű, panelos, blokkos lakóépületet és több kiszolgáló objektumokat építettek, pl.: iskolát, üzleteket. A repülőtér volt a szovjet csapatok által használt legjelentősebb katonai ingatlan, ami három különböző funkciójú területet foglalt magában: az üzemi részt, a lakótelepi részt, az irányadó állomást. A kivonulás után az épületek rossz állapotban voltak, majd magánkézbe kerültek és a felújításokat az új tulajdonosokra bízták. Az üres telkekre a ’90-es években modernebb lakóházakat emeltek.

There were just few buildings on north from the airport Debrecen. After the world war II the Soviet troops began to significant developments. They created 52 pcs. brick and block of flats as well as more server buildings, for example: school, shops. The airport was the very important military object, which had three different functional areas: the operational part, the living area and the control post. After extraction of the Soviet troops the buildings were in poor condition then those have been privatized and revived by the new owners. On the empty site new and modern flats were built in the ’90s.
