O objetivo desta cache é dar a conhecer ao mundo do geocaching o Lugar dos Aviceiros situado no percurso pedonal que liga a Boca da Corrida à Trompica.
The purpose of this cache is to make known to the world of geocaching the “Lugar dos Aviceiros” situated in the pedestrian path that connects the Boca da Corrida to Trompica.
Neste local situado a 1300 metros de altitude existiu um empreendimento turístico rural chamado “Montado dos Aviceiros” que segundo o respectivo site oficial era um local isolado vocacionado para retiros [pessoais e de grupo] e workshops.
Possuia váris casas onde eram oferecendos vários tipos de alojamento que não possuiam electricidade, sendo a iluminação feita através de “petromax” ou a gás e o aquecimento por salamandras e lareiras abertas.
No local eram desenvolvidas agricultura e pecuária biologica de forma a tornar o empreendimento sustentável e auto-suficiente.
Este empreendimento foi totalmente destruido inicialmente pelo temporal de 20 de Fevereiro de 2010 e posteriormente pelos incêndios que ocorreram na Madeira em Agosto do mesmo ano.
Atualmente a paisagem está bem diferente, recuperando dessas feridas! Podemos ainda encontrar vestígios desse empreendimento no local.
This place situated at 1300 meters altitude existed a tourist cottages called "Montado dos Aviceiros" which according to its official website was directed at an isolated place retreats [personal and group] and workshops.
He owned several houses where they were offered various types of accommodation that did not have electricity, and the lighting made through “Petromax” or gas and the heating by salamanders and open fireplaces.
In the place were developed biological agriculture and livestock in order to make the project sustainable and self-sufficient.
This place was totally destroyed, initially by the storm of February 20, 2010 and subsequently by the fires that occurred in Madeira in August of the same year.
Today the landscape is very different, recovering these wounds! We can still find traces of this undertaking on site.
