Okanagan Valley is home to the second largest wine producing wine region in Canada. There are several dozen wineries in the Okanagan, with over 20 vineyards in the Naramata area alone! Wine connoisseurs shouldn’t have to travel too far to find a glass or two of something tasty!
Almost every cache container is a camouflaged lock and lock, with a few ammo-cans and a couple of micros hidden for good luck. Unlike the wine, these caches are very kid friendly, so there are probably lots of goodies for trade… Every cache container includes a pencil, although you are welcome to use your own pen if you prefer.
Terrain ratings for each cache vary, so please use caution and good geosense. There are no hides that are near cliffs or on dangerous ground, so a majority of young children should be fine looking for each cache. There are multiple routes to almost all of the caches, so if one way looks too difficult, there’s probably an easier route to GZ!
There is absolutely no need to go anywhere near private property to find any of the caches. Please be respectful of wildlife, and as always, be muggle conscious. A majority of the caches can be found by walking or cycling a scenic section of the KVR trail. It would be very much appreciated if each cache was hidden the way you found it.
Almost every cache location includes an amazing view of Okanagan Lake and the hillside wineries! Don’t be afraid to take a geocaching break to sample a glass or two of a local wine!
